Hi, I’m Rebecca-Monique – an ICF accredited coach – and these are my passing thoughts.

American entrepreneur Naval Ravikant says knowledge workers function like athletes: they train and sprint, then rest and reassess. The same concept could be applied to the symbolic meanings of the four seasons: autumn, winter, spring and summer

Autumn signifies change linked to shedding, releasing and preserving.

Winter is the period most commonly associated with hibernation, where there’s very little visible or tangible activity.

Spring sees the beginning of new cycles, and sprouting abound.

Summer signifies progress, expansion and maximising abundance. It’s where we can enjoy the fruits of our labours and reap what we’ve sown in the past year.

Going back to Naval’s analogy, training is akin to Spring. Summer, sprinting. Autumn, resting. And winter, reassessing.

My two-part question for you this week is:
What season are you currently in and how do you know?

Speak to you next week. Until then, be well.
